New Fall Transition Network Classes Offer Options

transition network logoTransition Network, a partnership between BCFR’s Life & Work Connections program and Columbia College is offering some new classes this fall.

 

Work It: Think Critically & Creatively

This class will teach how to problem solve at work while displaying communication and teamwork skills.

This class will be held on Tuesdays from 5-6 p.m. September 6 – October 11 at Columbia College.

 

Social Media Savvy

This class will teach:

  • Connecting
  • Communicating
  • Keeping it private
  • How to find groups that have the same interests

This class will be held on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. September 8-29 at Columbia College, St. Claire Hall, Room 316.

 

Apartment Planning

This class will teach:

  • Finding an apartment
  • Affording an apartment
  • Living safely
  • Renting

This class will be held on Thursdays from 3:30-5 p.m. October 6-November 10 at Columbia College, St. Claire Hall, Room 316.

 

Your Vote Your Voice

This class will teach:

  • Reasons to vote
  • How to make choices
  • How to vote and much more

This class will be held on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. October 11 – November 15 at Columbia College, St. Claire Hall, Room 316. This class will allow participants opportunities to attend forums and to vote. Some sessions may not occur in the classroom and at the regularly scheduled class time.
