Benefits Package

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours a week qualify for major medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance. The effective date of your coverage will be the first of the month following the date of hire.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours a week, qualify for the EAP with UpriseHealth through Guardian. This confidential service is available for employees who may need support with life challenges. UpriseHealth provides support and guidance for matters that range from personal issues to providing information on every day topics that affect your life.

Upon providing service, eligible employees begin accruing vacation leave. Vacation may be taken after successful completion of the introductory period.

Full-time employees observe 11 holidays per year:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • President’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Juneteenth
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day & day after
  • Christmas Day

Eligible employees receive up to three days of personal time.

Eligible employees receive up to eighty hours of sick leave credit annually.

BCFR provides $50,000 of Term Life insurance to all full-time employees. There is an option for employees to purchase additional life insurance at the expense of the employee.

The pension plan has a five-year vesting schedule. BCFR contributes to the plan and there is a mandatory 4% employee contribution. Employee must be employed six months and regularly work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year. The plan also provides for long term disability benefits. Your LAGERS benefit is based on your highest consecutive 36 month average salary in the last 120 months of credited service. The more you earn, and the longer you work, the larger your retirement benefit.

Take a video tour of the main office building at Boone County Family Resources, 2700 W Ash St. The building was designed by Simon Associates Inc. and built by Little Dixie Construction. Construction was completed in early 2020.
