Elizabeth grew up on a farm outside of Kansas City Missouri. She obtained her B.S and Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from the University of Missouri Columbia and a Post-Masters Certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Barnes College School of Nursing in St. Louis.
Elizabeth spent the first 4 years of her nursing career in the hospital acute care setting. Upon obtaining her Masters degree she served on the leadership teams at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Barnes Jewish West County and Boone Hospital. In 2019 Elizabeth returned to clinical work as a Hospice Nurse for Boone Hospital. In her spare time, Elizabeth is actively involved in volunteering for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and for the school her children attend. Additionally, Elizabeth volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system, and serves on the Board of Directors for Boone County Family Resources. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys attending Mizzou games and biking on the Katy Trail with her husband and their four children.
