Disability Issues Candidate Forum

image: candidate forum graphicPlease join us on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Woodhaven, 1403 Hathman Place, for a Columbia Disabilities Issues Candidate Forum. We will hear from the candidates running for State House of Representatives on questions about employment, funding for support services, access to support services, inclusive education, housing, and more. Light refreshments will be provided, sign language interpreters will be present.

Candidates include:

  • Maren Bell and Cheri Toalson Reisch for District 44
  • Kip Kendrick for District 45
  • Martha Stevens and Cathy Richards for District 46
  • Adrian Plank and Chuck Basye for District 47
  • Michela Skelton and Sara Walsh for District 50

Forum co-hosts include ACT, Boone County Family Resources, Boone Supported Living, Central Missouri Subcontracting Enterprises, Columbia Disabilities Commission, Easter Seals Midwest, Great Plains ADA Center, Job Point, DeafLEAD, Missouri Disability Empowerment (MoDE), MORE Group, People First of Boone County, Services for Independent Living, TIPS/MoLEND, Woodhaven.
