Transition Matters – Equipping Students with Disabilities for Life After High School

The Friends of Boone County Family Resources Speaker Series presents “Transition Matters – Equipping Students with Disabilities for Life After High School” – an informative workshop about preparing your student with disabilities for what life looks like after graduation on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Community Room at Boone Electric Cooperative, 1413 Rangeline Street in Columbia.

Our presenter Erik Carter, Associate Professor in the Department of Special Education at Vanderbilt University, focuses on strategies for supporting meaningful school inclusion, peer relationships, and successful transitions for children and adults with autism and intellectual disability.
