Home-Based Support Services – Behavior Therapy Assistant

Home-Based Support Services – Behavior Therapy Assistant services are utilized as part of an intensive in-home program for preschool-aged or young children with autism spectrum disorders to prevent or delay out-of-home placement. The Home-Based Support Services – Behavior Therapy Assistant directly implements the strategies and interventions designed by a provider of behavior analysis services.

Individuals authorized for this service are not eligible for Home-Based Support Services.

Home-Based Support Services – Behavior Therapy Assistant does not include:

  • Services typically in lieu of day care/school
  • On-call supervision
  • Services authorized for individuals who participate in Medicaid waiver programs.
