Tec has an extensive background supporting individuals with disabilities. He has served as Deputy Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities at the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Fellow at the Joseph P. Kennedy Foundation in Washington DC, Coordinator of Service Demonstrations at the Institute for Human Development at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and Executive Director of Services for Independent Living in Columbia, Missouri.
