Grab your favorite Hawaiian shirt and join us for the Boone County Family Resources annual picnic on Thursday, September 27 from 5-7 p.m. at the Leech Pavillion at Bethel Park.
Sponsored by the Elks Lodge #594, this event features live music, good food and lots of fun. Visit with your friends and employees from Boone County Family Resources and help us continue to celebrate helping people with developmental disabilities thrive in the community, connect with others and achieve personal goals. The rain date for the picnic will be October 4 at the same location and time. Bus riders – take the Green route. Questions? Call 573-874-1995.
Changes This Year
New this year, BCFR will combine the annual Fun Run with People First of Boone County‘s annual Walk & Roll-A-Thon in October. So instead of having the Fun Run at the agency picnic, we encourage everyone to sign up to participate in the Walk & Roll-A-Thon on Saturday, October 13 starting at 2 p.m. at Stephens Lake Park. Walk or roll around beautiful Stephens Lake and then enjoy some refreshments. The Walk & Roll-A-Thon is a free event open to people of all abilities to help raise awareness for People First and National Disability Employment Awareness month. Download a flyer and watch our Facebook page for more information on how to register.
