PHYSICAL THERAPY
Service is provided to prevent or alleviate movement
dysfunction and functional problems related to an individual's developmental
disability that interferes with activities of daily living and decrease capacity
and performance. Therapy may be provided
on a one to one basis or in a consultative mode. One to one therapy is for clients who require
intervention to maintain health, prevent further movement loss, or enhance
physical skills. Training or technical
assistance regarding treatment or use of adaptive equipment may be provided
for:
1. an individual with a disability and their
caregiver
2. professionals actively providing services to
the eligible individual or
3. employers of eligible individuals
