Home-Based Support Service Provider

Part-time.  Contracted position giving caregiver services to children or adults with developmental disabilities who live with their families

The role of the Provider is to provide for the safety and well-being of the individual when the parent/caregiver is unable to, by providing care unique to that person’s needs.  An orientation to the person’s needs is provided by the parent/caregiver.  Provider responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, meal preparation and feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, skin care, grooming, transfer and ambulation, extension of therapies and exercise, general supervision/protective oversight, assisting with household cleaning/laundry, assisting with banking, budgeting, shopping, assisting with public transportation, and social interaction, recreation, leisure activity.
 

Home-Based Support Service Providers:

·      Have the flexibility of a part-time schedule--hours depend on family’s schedule and needs.

·      Work as Independent Contractors.

·      Must be 18 years old or older.

·      Must meet state and agency background and reference check requirements.

·      May be required to obtain/maintain CPR and/or First Aid Certification.

Behavior Therapy Assistant

Behavior Therapy Assistants work one-on-one with a child with autism.  The therapist provides Applied Behavior Analysis-based or other behavior therapies to teach the child skills across multiple developmental domains.  Behavior therapy assistants receive training on the specific behavior therapy strategies used and provide service under the direction of a Behavior Therapist.  Behavior therapy assistants typically work a minimum of 4 hours per week with the child and must have access to transportation, be responsible and be committed to helping children learn.
